Denver Pub Crawl

Last weekend I rejoined the Mile High club! I haven’t been to Denver since I was little, so I didn’t know what to expect. Denver has so many unique bars, clubs and Restaurants. Many people fly to Denver to celebrate big occasions like Bachelor and Bachelorette parties.

UNION STATION

Early Saturday morning we explored the Farmer’s Market at Union Station. The Farmer’s Market didn’t exactly stand out from previous Farmer’s Markets I’ve been to in the past, but I loved walking around Union Station. Union Station is a bar, hotel, shopping mall and Transportation hub all in one! There are many restaurants inside and outside surrounding the station.https://unionstationindenver.com/ Cooper Lounge is a wine bar inside Union Station. Many Locals recommend this Lounge for its high end cocktails and great views of downtown. https://cooperlounge.com/

MILK MARKET

The Milk Market is a couple blocks East of Union Station. I enjoyed my time walking around the Milk Market. With several food stands near by, it is the perfect place for a quick bite to eat. https://www.denvermilkmarket.com/I ate at a Crepe stand called Fem. Fem serves a variety of sweet and savory Crepes. I ordered the Chicken, Bacon and Brie Crepe, which was delicious! https://www.denvermilkmarket.com/fem/

IRONTON DISTILLERY & CRAFT HOUSE

I had a great experience visiting the Ironton Distillery! They serve a wide variety of handcrafted spirits. I tasted the blueberry, watermelon and tropical cocktail. I’d have to say the tropical was my favorite hands down! Ironton offers bottles of their freshly made liquor for purchase. They also offer tours if you want to see more behind the scenes. The tour guide was great about answering any questions I had. Ironton is fairly new, so it wasn’t crowded during my visit. The outdoor patio is gorgeous! They have games like ping pong and corn hole available for guests to play. I could literally stay here all day sipping cocktails, and admiring the patio decor! https://www.irontondistillery.com/

LITTLE MAN ICE CREAM

I SCREAM! YOU SCREAM! WE ALL SCREAM FOR LITTLE MAN ICE CREAM! Pardon my intro, I have a big sweet tooth and Little Man Ice cream definitely hit the spot! The building resembles a milk-jug, so it’s hard to miss! Little Man offers a wide variety of unique homemade ice cream flavors. The butterscotch is my favorite. http://www.littlemanicecream.com/

54 THRITY ROOFTOP

54 thirty is one of the nicest rooftop bars/clubs I have ever been to. With views from every angle, I could not get over how beautiful it is! The DJ was awesome. He had me dancing all night long! Well till midnight..(past my bedtime) lol. There was a photo booth available for the party animals to document the memories of the fun night, and gorgeous view. https://www.54thirty.com/

OPHELIA’s ELECTRIC SOAPBOX

I’m a huge history nerd, so any chance I get to explore an old creepy building, I am all in! Ophelia’s Electric Soapbox was built in 1889, and has so much history behind it. Before the building was a restaurant, it was an adult bookstore/brothel, and it hosted peep shows. In other words, Denver’s house of sin. Today, Ophelia’s is known for its unique events, live entertainment, tasty food and delicious drinks. I attended the Micheal Jackson brunch when I visited Ophelia’s. I had a blast! I drank bottomless mimosas, while watching the DJ play all the old MJ hits! I ordered the CRÈME BRÛLÉE FRENCH TOAST, and The B R E A K FA S T Q U E SA D I L L A which I definitely recommend! https://www.opheliasdenver.com/

BIRD SCOOTER APP

After the MJ Brunch on Sunday, we spent the afternoon riding electric scooters all over downtown! For a small fee, the Bird App gives street goers access to shared electric scooters, that can be picked up, and dropped off anywhere. The App shows a map of all of the scooters available in your area. After you find a scooter that’s available, you scan a bar code and enjoy your ride!

ACREAGE

Acreage is located in Lafayette, about 40 minutes North of Denver. I definitely recommend making the drive out here, especially if you’re a cider fan! I could easily spend an entire day here, tasting cider, eating delicious food, playing corn hole and enjoying the view! I tasted the cider flight, which included 4 different ciders that I got to choose from. I chose the Lavender, Hibiscus, Raspberry, and Salted Cucumber. The Salted cucumber was very refreshing, and the Raspberry tasted a little bit like Rosé. It was difficult for me to pick a favorite, because they were all so good! I also recommend trying their mini cider doughnuts! They are not your average doughnut, you can taste the apple cider flavor in the doughnut, which makes it very flavorful! The Standard Frites is another great snack to try. It comes with a cider vinegar aioli and curry ketchup dipping sauces! https://acreageco.com/

DENVER BUCKET LIST

Denver

I was only in Denver for 48 hrs, so it was impossible to see everything. My mom always said, “Sometimes it’s a good idea to leave out some activities you want to do while traveling, because it gives you a reason to go back.” I will definitely be traveling back to Denver! Here’s a Denver Bucket list I created, hoping one day to complete!
